Almost Gotcha – This is an oil painting from a real-life drama. During our first winters on Wellesley Island, we developed a friendly relationship with a resident wild fox, as she was attracted to our bird feeders for both the fallen seed and the gathering of squirrels under the feeders. We spotted her stalking this squirrel and I recorded the chase on my cell phone. This image captured the drama of the chase! The title reveals the outcome, a near miss – this time!
