Autumn Sunrise – This is an acrylic painting of a spectacular November sunrise across Eel Bay in the heart of the 1000 Islands. Sunrises like this are tricky to paint, as the hot and saturated colors need to be carefully balanced with cooler and more subdued values and hues. Capturing the continuously moving water patterns is both fun and exacting work.
