Morning Frost – This is an acrylic painting. On a cold, clear February morning, the hoar frost from a quiet frigid night coated all the treetops. I awoke before dawn and realizing the photo opportunity, quickly bundled up and went out with my camera. The rising sun cast the forest in colors of orange and lavender-blue, and touched the frosted treetops in a stunning raspberry glow. This painting captures the colors across our woodland walking path. A wild fox “friend” also used the path as part of a regular hunting run, and so I placed her in the painting as a fun feature and for the pop of color in the snow scene.
Prints available in 8”x 10” and 12”x 15” (a stunning canvas giclee size for this image).
